Coolsculpting works through a process called Crypolysis.
What Is Cryolipolysis?
When fat is frozen the fat cells become irreparably damaged. CoolSculpting’s technology selectively makes fat cells cold, in turn causing permanent and effective fat cell loss. Once the fat cells are treated, the body clears them through a natural process over a span of 2 to 4 months.
The treatment process often takes 2-3 hours depending on the treatment area.
Is Coolsculpting safe?
Extensive research on CoolSculpting has been performed demonstrating its safety. Data reveals an excellent safety record, and in multi-center research, there have not been any reports of adverse systemic effects from treatment.
What is Post-treatment like? Is there any downtime?
Most clients have very little downtime. Redness, swelling and numbness can persist for a few hours to a couple of days, patients may develop a bruise in the treated area. Some patients experience soreness in the area and/or a slight change in sensation in the treated area for up to 8 weeks.
