Bothered By Excessive Sweating?
Summer is approaching..now’s the time for Botox for underarm sweating aka…Hyperhidrosis
Are you bothered by excessive sweating? Do you dread sweat stains on your favorite shirt? Here at Medical Aesthetics on Tremont, we offer Botox injections for excessive sweating so that you can enjoy the summer worry-free.
What is Hyperhidrosis?
Susan Busch, our Nurse Practitioner will inject small amounts of diluted Botox in a grid-like pattern in the underarm. Though there is a high number of injections in each underarm, the underarm is numbed so there is little to no discomfort.
The Botox starts to take effect in 4-5 days but takes up to 2 weeks for its full effect.
The results: you will notice little to no sweating in your underarms, even on the hottest days and during the hardest workouts.
How does it work?
Botox, also known as Botulinum toxin temporality stops the chemical in the body that stimulates the sweat glands.
How long does it last?
Most clients start to see the results take affect in 4-5 days and continue for 4 to 6 months. Once the sweating returns, you can be retreated right away.
Are there any side effects?
There are no common side effects other than tenderness in the injected area.
